Let’s light up our town with luminaries in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s vision of A Beloved Community and his important campaign against poverty, bigotry and prejudice.  Join us for this virtual Zoom program to hear from Borough Council and Township Committee members who will share positive words and reflections about MLK, Jr.

Smiling womanFeatured guest speaker will be Chatham resident Judy-Ann Hargrove, member of the Morris County chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.  Jack and Jill of America, a national organization with chapters throughout the United States, is an organization of mothers with children ages 2-19 dedicated to nurturing future African-American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty.

After you listen to our speakers, decorate your luminary and light it at 5 pm on MLK Day, Monday, January 17. Pick up your luminary kit at the library starting Tuesday, January 11.
