October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  Domestic violence is in the news every day.  In the United States the CDC estimates that 1 in 4 women, 1 in 7 men, and 1 in 3 teens will be a victim of intimate partner violence in their lifetime.  This very important presentation by JBWS will address the warning signs, how to help a friend in trouble, where to go for help, as well as what services are available locally.  Educating community groups about the issue of domestic violence will not only help those impacted by abuse find assistance sooner but will also help in the prevention of domestic violence.
