Event Details
Our friends at the Florham Park Public Library invited us to participate in an exciting program from the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. A museum educator from the Intrepid will teach us about the different airplanes at the museum and how to make our own paper airplanes. Students will discuss the parts of a plane and how nature influences shape and design. Educators will demonstrate the four forces of flight and students will experiment with these concepts before creating their own simple flying machines. Fundamental concepts such as the four forces of flight, Bernoulli's principle and aerodynamics will be discussed.
Materials needed: paper, paperclip (recommended). Best for those in Grades K-5th.
