The Chatham Library Foundation invites all members of the community to join us at the Library for a special celebration of Grandparents Day. Explore different activity stations throughout the library, each designed to bring joy, connection, and creativity to all ages.

  • Photo Booth & Crafting: Take a picture in our photo booth and then head over to the crafting station to create a personalized picture frame to take home or share with a loved one.
  • Send a Hug: Craft a hug that you can send to anyone special, whether near or far!
  • Tech How-To Station: Learn how to FaceTime with loved ones far away, use Zoom to connect virtually, and discover how to follow and interact with your loved ones on social media.
  • Movement Station: Get moving with a samba lesson perfect for anyone who loves to dance! All ages are welcome, and chairs will be available for those who prefer to move while seated.
  • Wishing Well: Learn about giving back at our wishing well, where you can make a wish on behalf of an individual or organization.
  • Storytime: Enjoy storytime where we'll read children's books that celebrate the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren.
  • Games Station: Stop by our games station for a variety of fun and engaging games that all ages can enjoy together!
  • Genealogy Station: Explore your roots at our genealogy station, where kids can fill in their family tree and learn more about their heritage.
  • Video Booth: Stop by our video booth to share your memories and stories, contributing to a special video that will become a cherished part of our library's history.

Grandparents and grandkids are encouraged to visit together or independently. Join in the festivities with your family and friends! If your loved ones live elsewhere, stop by to make them a special gift and learn about tools that can help you connect with them from afar. Craft kits will also be available; pick one up to bring to your family to enjoy together!

Don’t miss out on the activities, snacks, prizes, and fun!

Registration is encouraged but not required.  Click here to register, or call the Library at 973-635-0603.
