He was called the “Corsican Ogre” of Europe and the “Great Thief” of Europe by those that feared him. It is only fitting that we consider the dark side, or “darker” aspect of Napoleon Buonaparte. In addition to his detractors, this lecture will include thoughts from Napoleon’s own memoirs.
About the presenter: Alex Clemente has worked in education for more than 20 years. He currently serves as a professor at both William Paterson University and the County College of Morris, specializing in ancient and medieval history. He is dedicated to sharing his passion with others through college classes and lifelong learning presentations for libraries and senior community centers.
