Ruth Asawa, Japanese American sculptor, educator, and arts activist, is known for her extensive body of work including paintings, printmaking, public commissions, and especially her wire sculptures that challenged conventional notions of material and form. Come and hear about this pioneering and inspirational artist and be well prepared to enjoy MoMA's monumental Ruth Asawa retrospective.
