Waterworks is a group of painters who met at the New Jersey School of Visual Arts, Summit, NJ, became friends and have painted together for more than 15 years.  They all paint in watercolor, though some of them also use acrylics and YUPO.  Lyle Brehm, of Summit, produces lovely landscapes from her travels around the world.  Sandra McTernan, of Summit, creates a fresh exciting painting whether it is children, the shore, or other subjects where her adventures take her.  George Polazzi, of Bloomingdale, gives us large views of our beautiful county and scenes from his trips to other countries.  Gail Silver, of Short Hills, paints with a light touch, creating lovely scenes that are both interesting and serene.  Jill Vondervor-Frank, of Maplewood, uses watercolor more architecturally with cityscapes and homescapes.

While they are very different in their styles and approaches to painting, together they collaborate and enhance each other's work.

The group exhibits at Overlook Hospital, Summit, Morris County Library, Mayo Theatre, and annually at Library of the Chathams.

The show may be viewed at the library through the month of November.  Everyone is welcome to attend the opening reception, sponsored by Friends of the Library.
