My name is Maya Daya I’m 10 years old. I have an idea for how kids can get involved in creating a greater community. My idea is called 1 foot forward and it means that every kid should plant a one square foot pollinator garden. A square foot is about a size of a piece of paper so everyone should be able to do it. If all of us do a little, by the end of the summer, will have lots of places for pollinators, and together we will make a big impact. Join me to learn more about my idea, goal, and why I think kids should take action. At the end of my presentation, you can head outside the library to my table to learn more about my pollinator kits that have everything you need to set up a one square foot garden. Let’s all step “one foot forward.”
