Event Details

In June, the Director of the Rutgers Geology Museum Dr. Lauren Neitzke Adamo will be going on a research cruise to collect sediment cores from the ocean floor off the coast of Nova Scotia. While onboard the ship, she will be running two live events that will show participants what it is like to live and work on a research ship.

Join Dr. Neitzke Adamo and Rutgers Graduate Student and Museum Tour Guide, Ria Sarkar, LIVE onboard the R/V Atlantis from the North Atlantic Ocean!  Tune in to hear about the deep-sea coring taking place offshore Nova Scotia and New Jersey as part of the “PUFINS: Coring for Climate” project.  Go on a tour of the ship and get a chance to ask the science and technical crew questions!

This event will be run twice: Monday, June 6 at 7 pm Eastern and Friday, June 10 at 1 pm Eastern

Register here to attend one or both of these events. You will receive the event link upon registration. Additional information can be found on the museum's website.
