This is a series of twelve sessions, with six classes in the Fall and six classes in the Spring. Classes will be taught by members of the Morris Museum Astronomical Society.

Lesson 11: Outdoor Solar Viewing

Students will engage in solar viewing at the Morris Museum (6 Normandy Heights Road, Morristown, NJ). They will be able to recognize the Sun as an average star and understand how a star's life cycle is determined by its mass. Students will also explore stellar processes and learn about & view the Sun's flares and black spots.
