Event Details
Professional Genealogist Randi Koenig of Legacy Genealogy Services explains how to research various historical records. In this dynamic workshop, learn how to discover your families' town of origin and historical records. This is an interactive workshop and an opportunity to learn some research tips and tricks on getting started, staying organized and not missing clues. All levels of genealogical interest welcome.

Randi Koenig, Principal of Legacy Genealogy Services, is a forensic genealogist with over 15 years professional experience, based in Hudson County, NJ. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, Hudson County Genealogical & Historical Society, and is or has been affiliated with the National Genealogical Society, the Italian Genealogical Society, the NJ Genealogical Society, the National Genealogical Society and the Ulster County Historical Foundation (Ireland).
Her work outside of the United States spans Europe, South America, Asia, Mexico and the Caribbean. She has provided expert witness testimony throughout NYS and NJ for Surrogates Court kinship proceedings. Her portfolio of projects varies from sourcing a single document to birth family reunions or heir searches to providing printed and bound multi-generational lineage histories.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art & Sociology/Genealogy and a Master of Science in Technology Management/Management Engineering.
