Our friends at the Kemmerer Library (Harding Township) are sharing this two-part program with our patrons.  Each part requires separate registration.

This is Part 1 of the series.  (Part 2 is on June 27)

Lincoln's reputation as a wartime executive commander has been so marked that we sometimes forget, if not ignore, other non-military aspects of his presidency.  In fact, he was one of the most consummate political operatives in our history.  His skill is well reflected in his relationship with Salmon Chase of Ohio and then Lincoln’s appointment of Chase to Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
