Program Description

Event Details

The Chathams are bordered by the Passaic River and the Great Swamp, with streams and ponds scattered throughout the towns. These bodies of water have helped shape life within the Chathams throughout history. Imagine the Great Swamp as a big box store and the Passaic as a power plant. Imagine children ice skating for miles and a cow pond for the town pool. Imagine a jetport in the middle of the swamp.

Please join the Chatham Township Historical Society as they present these and many more stories about the water around us. You may attend in person or on Zoom. Please register and the Zoom access will be sent to you via email the day of the event.
