For Students Entering Grades 3 to 7
High school student Dilan Lalla will teach students about the branches of government, how laws are made, and why voting is important. This two-part workshop is to help students better understand, from a neutral viewpoint, both the current voting procedures in the United States and the historical & modern significance to voting.
The first class will explore what the rules & procedures are in terms of voting, as well as the general government structures on the state and federal level.
In the second session, students will further analyze the significance and challenges to voting and why it is important to vote.
Registration is required. Please only register if you plan to attend both classes.
