RPG Academy is a club that runs at Library of the Chathams on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 pm.

Dungeons & Dragons is a cooperative game, frequently used as team building experience. It offers a fantastic opportunity to interact and socialize without any technology involved in a safe environment: we will be using just pencil, paper, and special dice that will be provided by the club. All you need to bring is your imagination and willingness to learn!

Michele, our volunteer Dungeon Master, offers a class of 4 consecutive sessions to beginners, introducing the core rules of Dungeon and Dragons by running a fantasy-style tutorial adventure similar to The Hobbit or Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

Experienced players are welcome to join as well: after the 4 introductory sessions, one of the players will become the new Dungeon Master and will be creating and directing another adventure in the following sessions, coached by Michele.

This game fits any age (it is common to play as a family) and we will create groups that are homogeneous as much as we can, but the age doesn’t really matter. Enrollment for the next session opens August 6 at 9:30 am!
