Event Details

This is a series of twelve sessions, with six classes in the Fall and six classes in the Spring. Classes will be taught by members of the Morris Museum Astronomical Society.

Lesson 1: Exploring the Universe - Models and Surveys

In this initial meeting, students will learn about scientific models and explore the Universe. We will model the Universe as we currently understand it, learn about relative size, distance, and age of celestial objects, and identify knowledge gaps about the cosmos.
