Event Details

This is a series of twelve sessions, with six classes in the Fall and six classes in the Spring. Classes will be taught by members of the Morris Museum Astronomical Society.

Lesson 11: Outdoor Solar Viewing

Students will engage in solar viewing in Memorial Park, behind the library. They will be able to recognize the Sun as an average star and understand how a star's life cycle is determined by its mass. Students will also explore stellar processes and learn about & view the Sun's flares and black spots.
