Join us for an immersive culinary experience as we embark on a journey through the diverse and vibrant cuisines of Asia. Teen volunteer Diya Gupta will host this summer program, “A Trip Around Asia,” which offers a unique opportunity for aspiring chefs to delve into the rich tapestry of Asian culinary traditions. During each session, participants will learn about one Asian country then have a chance to cook their popular cuisine.
Our fourth and final stop on our culinary journey is Sri Lanka. Discover the unique flavors, ingredients, and techniques that set Sri Lankan food apart, from the aromatic spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves, to the abundant use of coconut milk, fresh herbs, and tropical fruit to create the beloved Coconut Pineapple Cake. Immerse yourself in the rich culture and traditions of Sri Lanka through traditional music and food inspired by the island's vibrant heritage.
